Here in the UK, my boys have broken up for their summer holidays. This past week has been a busy one as Mr Middle managed to bite a flap into his tongue last weekend. We went to local A&E, on Saturday, specialists on Sunday and again on Thursday.
It’s been a rough week for the middle child, but he was super brave! I would have been so miserable if that was me but he powered through so well. He managed to go into school today for the half day.
Their school goes to the local church to do a service each end of term. Today they celebrated children with special awards – pupil of the year for each class and key stage one and two.
Mr Middle bagged himself the headteacher’s award for pupil of the year for key stage one! He was described as the most enthusiastic child in key stage one, and a role model.
I guess we’re doing something right!
Today we’re starting the holidays with a treat. Everyone gets pocket money, Xbox time, takeaway for dinner and then family board games.
Baby Oscar is teething so he’s not enjoying this week either, but hopefully his little tooth will stick it’s head through soon and we’ll all get some peace, and he’ll be happy without being dosed up on baby calpol and dentinox!
I’m looking forward to a lovely summer break, and hopefully I’ll get some art and craft going now that the nightmare week has ended!
